- Alaskan Malamutes
- Japanese Spitz
We are Debbie and Mark Prout and we live in the village of Frocester in Gloucestershire on a Dairy Farm with our wonderful Alaskan Malamutes, Japanese Spitz and not to forget Jeeves, Mark's solemate, his fabulous Springer Spaniel. I am a member of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme and a member of the Alaskan Malamute Club UK, Northern Japanese Spitz Club and Southern Japanese Spitz Club. All our dogs are health tested.
We have both had dogs all our lives, Mark mainly working dogs and I had German Shephards origionally then got my first Akita in 1992. It was at that time that I started showing the dogs and got well and truly hooked. I had 5 Akita's but when I lost my last one I decided to change my breed and that is when I fell for the Alaskan Malamute. We now have our wonderful boy Icewolf a Touch of Darkness at Kessaku (Tikaani), and the girls Czech Me Out Shamanrock at Kessaku (Nukka), and Snowshoes One and Only (Maisie). All our Malamutes live and play together and are inseparable they are all in our house in the evening and have their own beds in the lounge although Tikaani tends to roll out of his so that he can lie side by side with the girls.
In 2010 I decided that I wanted to have a small breed and researched into what would suit us, I decided on the Japanese Spitz. I find the Spitz to be wonderful little dogs with bags of personality and just so friendly, I have 2 litter sisters Sushi and Saki. All our dogs run together and play in the fields which is lovely to see.
First and foremost our dogs are our pets and as long as they are healthy and happy then we are happy.
